Does it look like all we do is eat??

The Last Supper--in honor of Sister Ballif,  Elder Wilcoxin and Elder Teo going home or being transferred we had dinner at Grandma's Restaurant.  It was really yummy.  You can see Brittany Platt (a new convert) Brother and Sister Faerber, ward mission leader, Elder Dameron, Elder Schmidt, the Strattons, Sister Simpson, Sister Ballif.  Elder Teo and Elder Wilcoxin had already left and missed their farewell dinner. Bad scheduling.

We drove to Minneapolis to meet with other senior (coed) missionary couples.  We ate and we played games and it was very enjoyable.  We met up with the Forbes, the Gaffs, the Soelburgs, the Arringtons, and the Thompsons.  Duluth, where we live  is 2 1/2 hours from where the other senior missionaries serve.

On Monday, P Day, the elders and the sisters came over to eat popcorn and play Nertz.  It was all their idea as we NEVER play games around here.  Elders Schmidt, Roose, Damron, Zerkle, Sisters Curtis, Simpson, England and Shumway.

The elders and the sisters finding out their dinner assignments for the week.  Notice that the Strattons are not included??  We have to make our own dinner.

Sister Simpson and Sister Stratton.  Missionary sisters, and temporary companions.  Her companion left on Tuesday morning and her new companion didn't come until Wednesday afternoon.  So I was her companion during that time.  It was pretty fun but I was relieved to go back to my regular companion because I was pretty tired by then.

We attended three seminary classes since the last blog: one in Aitkin, about 2 hours west,  one in Virginia, MN, about 1 hour north and one in Askov, 1 hour south.   Visiting classes is my favorite part (except for the part about getting up at 4:30 am).  You probably can't tell but there is an open Ipad on the table.  One girl is skyped in to the class.  She lives too far away to attend but she participates and gave the devotional today. Technology is amazing in these small branches of the church that are so spread out.
We also had a big inservice meeting last Saturday.  I say big because we do a lot of planning for it.  Almost all of our teachers came and it is so good when they share their ideas of how things work in their classes.  We have some amazing teachers.

On Thanksgiving we were invited to the Faerber's house.  It was peaceful and so nice.  Then the young missionaries showed up and we played Liar's Dice.  They are pretty fun!

This is the frozen Kettle River taken at sunrise after our early visit to Askov.
